COACHING REQUIREMENTS

Time to Shred

All SHYLAX Coaches and Athletes are required to hold active USA Lacrosse Memberships.  Because it is a requirement enforced by us, we will cover the costs if a Coach does not already have one.

LEVEL 1   USL CERTIFICATION

Pre-requisite Training

All Coaches MUST minimally complete the USA Lacrosse Level 1 Certification which includes the in-person or virtual clinic training.

BACKGROUND CHECK

Players Safety & Security

All PAL participating programs require coaches to consent to a background check.  SHYLAX Coaches obtain their background checks via USA Lacrosse and it is included in their membership fee.

CPR & FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

Safety Protocols

SHYLAX believes that the safety of our players is paramount.  We require all head coaches to complete CPR & First Aid Certification.  Assistant and Junior Coaches are optional at this time.
